Faculty Travel
University Funds Administered by the Office of Academic Affairs
A small pool of funds for faculty professional development and travel is maintained in the Office of Academic Affairs to support faculty development in areas that are not defined by any one academic discipline. Examples include general education, innovative teaching, diversity and inclusion, undergraduate research, assessment, and leadership development. Faculty can apply for such funding by submitting a proposal to the associate provost for faculty development. Proposals should describe the opportunity for which funding is sought and include a proposed budget.
Funding for faculty travel is available in the College of Arts and Sciences, the duPont-Ball Library, the School of Business Administration and the School of Music.
University travel policies is administered by the Office of Finance.

Willa Dean Lowery Fund to Support Research in the Natural Sciences
Applications are invited for funding from the Willa Dean Lowery Fund to support faculty research in the biological and physical sciences at Stetson University. Faculty in the departments of biology, chemistry, environmental science, integrative health science and physics are eligible to apply. The fund will distribute $10,000 to a project or projects selected for support this year (through summer 2013). Requests can range from a minimum of $2,000 to the full $10,000. The application deadline is January 18, 2013. Applications should be submitted to pdc@stetson.edu. For additional information, see the information and application links below.
