Jacqueline Coyle
Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology
I received my doctorate from Florida State University in 2011, and taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., before coming to Stetson. I have primarily taught Introductory Psychology and Cognitive Psychology in the past; and I will be teaching Introduction to Psychology, Theories of Personality and Great Experiments in Psychology in the upcoming semesters at Stetson.

Research
- The role fundamental social motivations and emotions play in social-cognitive processes such as language production, decision-making, attention, and memory, as well as the effects they have on lower-level motor responses.
- Recent work has focused on how cues to female fertility affect lexical and other language-related choices.
- Additional interests include evolutionary influences on motivations, cognitions, and behaviors; embodied perspectives on cognition; and eyewitness memory.
