Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Master's in Reading Program

Several years in the education field have given Dr. Choice opportunities to teach and serve as a reading specialist, consultant and school administrator in a number of public school systems. She has authored Handbooks for School Reading Coaches and Teaching Second Language Learners. For three years she provided professional development and technical assistance in closing the achievement gap and literacy to 10 Florida Districts through the State Department of Education. She has directed several projects including the development and implementation of an online course available to educators statewide. Most recently she has taught both undergraduate and graduate language and literacy courses at the University of Florida. She is currently an assistant professor of Teacher Education at Stetson University and directs the Graduate Reading Program.
