What is Health?
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not meremy the absence of disease or infirmity. As a volunteer, you will be working with organizations and facilities that provide patient care or help raise awareness about cancer and related issues.
What is Elderly Care?
Elderly care or simply eldercare is the fulfillment of the special needs and requirements that are unique to senior citizens. This term encompasses such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and In-Home care. As a volunteer you will be able to assist the elderly populations in our community lead more enriched lives through various programming.
Facts:
- 1/3 of citizens over the age of 65 are suffering from depression, most due to loneliness.
- Every day, 1500 people lives are taken by cancer

Kilometer Kids
Mission
To provide a youth running program for kids and educate them about the importance of nutrition and physical activity to their health. Also, to provide opportunities for them to be physically active and partake of nutritious foods.

Volunteers will be involved in after school programs where they will teach them about nutrition, get the kids involved in physical activity by playing games and sports, and provide them with nutritious snacks.
