Immediately following the ceremony will be an hors d'oeuvre reception in the Marshall & Vera Lea Rinker Welcome Center.

Graduates and Faculty

Master's degree candidates and faculty are asked to arrive in regalia at 6:00 p.m. in McMahan Hall. In preparation for the processional, you will be placed in alphabetical order by the degree you are receiving. The processional will begin at 6:45 p.m. led by the faculty marshal, the faculty and then the graduates.

Graduate Name Cards

At check-in, you will be given a name card. Please fill in the pronunciation of your name, if needed, for the announcer. Complete the backside of the card with the information required by the photographer who will provide proofs after the ceremony. Do not lose, destroy or leave the card in your seat when it is time to approach the stage. Hand the announcer the card as you enter the stage before arriving at the hooding location.

Graduate Hoods

The placing of a hood signifies the passage from student to master. Hoods are to be draped over the left arm as shown below.
