Getting to Stetson University

Please use our driving directions or Google Maps to assist you in getting to the DeLand campus.

Tickets

Guests do not need a ticket for entry to the Commencement ceremonies as seating is on a first come, first served basis. Doors open one hour prior to the start of each ceremony.

Photography

A professional photographer from Island Photography will be taking photographs of each graduate as they are recognized during the ceremony. Within 48 hours after commencement, you will be emailed a secure link and a PIN to view and order your photos. You can register the email addresses of your friends and relatives so that they will recieve a direct link to your proofs by visiting the website below.

Parking

Please refer to the campus map that shows locations for public parking. Shuttle service will be available from the Lynn Business Center, Flagler Hall and Allen Hall parking areas from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. Shuttle service is accessible for persons with disabilities.

Parking is also available at First Baptist Church and offers direct access to the north entrance of Edmunds Center. Please note that while the First Baptist Church parking area is in close proximity to Edmunds Center, it is not accessible for persons with disabilities. The path from the parking area is an uneven surface and has stairs.

Parking for persons with disabilities is available on the north side of Edmunds Center. Cars parked in this area are required to display a disabled parking permit. Access to this area is on E. Pennsylvania Avenue and Fraternity Circle. Public Safety Officers will be present to offer direction.

A circular drive accessible from E. Pennsylvania Avenue and Fraternity Circle will be available for drivers to drop-off persons with disabilities. Drivers will then be asked to move to the designated public parking areas.

Floor Seating in Edmunds Center

Edmunds Center is fully accessible to all guests with seating available both on ground level and in permanent bleachers. Persons with disabilities can pickup a priority floor seating pass at the tents located at the north and south entrances of Edmunds Center. Ushers will be available to guide guests to the priority floor seating area in Edmunds Center.

Where can I purchase announcements for my graduating student?

Announcements can be ordered online at collegegrad.herffjones.com. The deadline for ordering announcements is March 22, 2013.

What is the Academic Awards Convocation? How will my graduate know if they are being recognized?

The Academic Awards Convocation is a ceremony that recognizes those graduates that have been awarded honors in each of the colleges and schools for various projects, research and other academic achievements. All award recipients will be notified in advance through the Office of Academic Affairs. Those receiving awards will be asked to arrive at 2:30 p.m. and sit in the reserved seating area. It is recommended that graduates wear business attire for this event. All graduating students and their families are invited to attend.

What is a Baccalaureate Service?

Baccalaureate is a non-denominational religious service honoring the graduating class. During the service, an address in the form of a sermon is delivered by the Chaplain. Graduates should wear their cap and gown and meet in the Quad/Palm Court at 6:30pm to prepare for the processional. All graduates and their families are invited to attend.
