Gyromouse and Gyration Cordless Optical Air Mice
The Gyromouse, and its successor, the Gration Cordless Optical Air Mouse allow users to present in multimedia classrooms, while being away from the workstation. These controllers can function like a regular mouse, except they are wireless, operating on radio frequencies. No direct line of sight to the computeris needed.
Another great feature is the facility to operate these controllers in the air, without usinga desktop or tabletop. By squeezing the button on the underside of the mice, internal gyroscopes sense hand movements, and controll the computer accordingly. This allows professors to walk around a classroom, interacting with students, while still controlling the system without the need of a horizontal surface.
