At Stetson University, there exist seven values to which faculty, staff, and administration are committed.  One such value is the lifelong pursuit of social responsibility.  In recent years, Stetson has placed an increasing focus on partnering with DeLand and the surrounding areas to make a difference.  Monthly meetings of the Community Engagement Council (CEC) facilitate this movement. 

The CEC is composed of faculty, staff, and student leaders who all work in their own ways to serve and engage communities locally, nationally, and worldwide.  Work done by council members ranges in topic from Community Based Research to Microcredit programs in Tanzania to Panhellenic philanthropy.  For more information, please contact Dr. Greg Sapp.
