If you're interested in many aspects of the business world, then a General Business Administration major may be right for you.

General Business students participate in an interdepartmental program which covers the full spectrum of business. Within the major, you may further specialize, or prepare generally for business, governmental activity, or pre-law or graduate studies.

Faculty

Although the General Business program is part of the Department of Decision and Information Sciences, all Business School faculty teach in this program. The entire Business School faculty is committesd to providing an education which will serve as a foundation for a successful business career.

Course Information

The General Business Administration major provides a broad range of experience-based educational opportunities designed to give students an academic foundation for career success.

In addition to a broad range of liberal arts studies, majors take courses in Statistics; Information Technology; Introduction to Financial Accounting; Introduction to Management Accounting; Legal, Social, Ethical Environment; Marketing; Management; Finance; Business Communication; and Strategic Management.

Career Opportunities

General Business majors are in demand as customer service representatives, business analysts, financial planners, project managers, retail/merchandising managers, and sales representatives and managers.
