:: AIR Support

AIR's total annual operational budget for its projects in Guatemala is only $125,000! Approximately 95% of these funds are used to implement the projects themselves, as AIR is committed to keeping administrative and fundraising costs for a minimum (see the 2006 IRS Tax Return).

AIR is able to keep costs low by using dedicated and talented volunteers, whenever possible-- for fundraising, consulting, legal questions, design and construction of the Training Center.

Foundations and organizations which support AIR include The Shared Earth Foundation, the British Embassy, Rotary Clubs in Florida, the New England Biolabs Foundation, Fund for the Next Generation. In addition, volunteer groups from six Presbyterian Churches (PCUSA) have given invaluable labor, friendship, and financial support to AIR programs.

Finally, AIR receives tax-deductible donations from private donors in the United States who understand the importance of teaching and implementing Sustainable Agriculture worldwide. In developing countries, the only way the forests will survive is for farming to include TREES, through Agro-Forestry methods that AIR teaches and implements in the farmers' own fields.
