Technical Requirements

To participate in an online degree program from Stetson University, your computer will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

Audio

Your computer should be able to play back audio for audio presentations, including live chat sessions with the course facilitator and/or instructor.

Internet Connection

While a high-speed connection (e.g., cable or DSL) is preferable, course-related software will still be usable if you have a dial-up connection. If you have a dial-up connection, please keep in mind it will take longer to load content and may impact the quality of audio during the live chat sessions.

Operating System

A Mac running Apple OS X 10.4 or higher or a PC running Microsoft Windows XP or higher.

Software

You should have a productivity software suite such as Microsoft Office and a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader installed.

Web Browser and Plugins

One of the following browsers:

• Apple Safari version 5 or higher
• Google Chrome version 11 or higher
• Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 or higher
• Mozilla Firefox version 4 or higher

You should have the following plugins installed: Adobe Flash, Apple QuickTime and Java.
