What are Professional Development Schools?

Professional Development Schools (PDS) are schools that have joined with universities to accomplish common educational goals that include developing exemplary practice to maximize student outcomes, providing optimum sites for preservice teacher training, offering connected inservice teacher professional development and implementing reflective inquiry to enhance teacher and student learning and development.

Partnerships are collaborative relationships built upon mutual trust, respect and a shared belief that together they may better prepare students for the world of tomorrow.
