Auditions are required in order to major or minor in music at Stetson University.

Stetson University's School of Music encourages prospective students to learn about the wide range of opportunities available to all students of the university, whether as a major in music, a minor in music, or a member of one of our many ensembles. The website will assist you in discovering the many facets of our full-scale School of Music program.

Each year the School of Music admits approximately 60 new music majors in order to maintain a balanced program and an overall enrollment of 200 music majors. Music majors are required to audition for admission to the program. These auditions will also place you in consideration for one of our many music scholarships. You do not have to be a music major to receive a music scholarship. Approximately 25% of our music scholarships are awarded to non-music majors each year. You are encouraged to examine the audition guidelines and schedule an audition.

We hope you will also take the opportunity to listen to performances by some of our performance ensembles that are available through this website.

Students interested in exploring the Stetson School of Music further are encouraged to contact Camille Tolley, our Music Admissions Counselor. Her full-time job is that of assisting you in discovering the School of Music, answering your questions, arranging Hi Notes visits to campus, scheduling auditions, and helping you make your way through the application process. You are invited to contact her by phone (386.822.8975) or email (music@stetson.edu). She will be happy to help you.
