Brass Camp

Note: The 2013 Brass Camp at Stetson University is nearing its capacity and therefore will be operating from a waiting list. In order to be placed on the waiting list, please fill out the online registration form and you will be contacted by David Schmidt, director of the Stetson Brass Camp. No deposit is needed at this time.

July 15-20

The weeklong Stetson University Brass Camp focuses on the fundamentals of brass performance and practice, including master classes, recitals, the student honors recital and ensembles including brass, trumpet, tuba/euphonium, trombone and chamber.

The camp is held on Stetson University's historic DeLand campus. Students will gain experience playing in large and small ensembles in both matching and mixed instrumental combinations. Students will also participate in daily warm-up sessions and master classes. Nightly recitals will feature performances by Stetson University Brass Camp faculty and staff as well as selected camp participants and chamber groups. The final concert will feature all students in large ensemble performances.

Registration Deadline: May 24, 2013

Tuition (Resident): $415 (includes instruction, room and board)

Tuition (Commuter): $315 (includes instruction, lunches and dinners)

Participants will be housed in the Stetson University residence halls, eat in the student cafeteria and have access to all campus recreational facilities. Counselors will stay in the residence halls with the participants. Participants are supervised at all times.
