FLORIDA FLUTE WORKSHOP
(JUNE 9-13)

SIXTEENTH ANNUAL FLORIDA FLUTE WORKSHOP
JUNE 9-13, 2009 The Florida Flute Workshop is open to students in grades 7-12 and focuses on building performance and musicianship skills. Students will learn through a combination of technique classes, master classes, flute choirs, small ensembles and private lessons and classes in rhythm, theory and music history. Outstanding guest artists from around the state will perform in an evening recital and present clinics. The culmination of the workshop will be the students final concert for family and friends.

TWENTY-SIXTH ANNUAL DOUBLE REED WORKSHOP 2009
June 15-20, 2009 (Monday-Saturday)
The Stetson University Double Reed Workshop is an intense week-long event focusing on the fundamental principles of double reed performance, including an emphasis on specialized classes in reed-making techniques. The workshop encompasses chamber music for double reed ensembles, master classes, and performances classes. All participants play in the double reed band and chamber ensembles, and are eligible to audition to perform a solo on the Student Recital.

THIRD ANNUAL CLARINET CLINIC 2009
June 8-13, 2009
The 3rd Annual Stetson University Clarinet Clinic will be offered this summer on the beautiful campus of Stetson University. The weeklong event is open to clarinetists entering 7th grade through 12th grade and will focus on the fundamental principles of clarinet performance. The clinic will encompass experiences performing in a large ensemble and a chamber ensemble, participating in master classes and performance classes, as well as enjoying faculty and student recitals. All participants will play in a clarinet choir and a chamber ensemble and are eligible to audition to perform a solo on the Student Honors Recital.

BRASS CAMP 2009 DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION EXTENDED TO MAY 29
July 6-11, 2009 The Stetson University Brass Camp will be offered this summer on the Stetson University campus. The weeklong workshop will focus on the fundamentals of brass performance and practice. Students will gain experience playing in large and small brass ensembles in both mixed and matching instrumental combinations. Students will also participate in daily warm-up sessions, master classes and individual performance classes. Nightly recitals will feature performances by Stetson Brass Camps faculty and staff as well as selected workshop participants and chamber groups. The final workshop concert will feature all students in large ensemble performances.

SAXOPHONE WORKSHOP 2009
July 13-19, 2009
The Stetson University Saxophone Workshop is an intense week-long event focusing on fundamental principles of saxophone performance, including an emphasis on specialized classes in playing techniques, Jazz, chamber, and FBA All-State audition music. The workshop includes chamber music for saxophone ensembles, master classes and performance classes. All participants play in a saxophone band, a chamber ensemble receive a private lesson from one of the faculty, and are eligible to audition to perform a solo on the final concert.
