The Barron String Quartet is our premiere student string quartet. It is an active ensemble, representing Stetson University and the School of Music in a variety of venues each year. The Quartet receives its name from our benefactor, Mrs. Inez Barron Gee, whose multi-million dollar gift endows the scholarships of these student performers and other students in our orchestra program. Mrs. Gee, an alumna of the School of Music, established this endowment in honor of her daughter, Geraldine, who was a professional viola performer. The Gees are from Winter Park, Florida.
