Dr. Ann Small, Artistic Director The Stetson University Children's Choir was begun in 1985 by its artistic director, Ann Small who is director of the music education program at Stetson University. The Children's Choir offers a unique choral experience to young people in Central Florida while serving as a practicing environment for nurturing future music educators and mentoring young conductors. The Children's Choir program is an auditioned community children's chorus. The Choirs have performed at regional and national conferences of the American Choral Directors Association, the Music Educators National Conference and the National Orff-Schulwerk Association. The Young Singers have been the young artists in residence at Choral Music Experience Institutes for Teacher Education in St. Andrews, Scotland, and Toronto, Canada. The Choirs perform every December & May in historic Elizabeth Hall on the Stetson campus. |
