Posters:

Media Services maintains a large printer for academic poster printing. The University community can print posters up to 41 inches by 51 inches. The printer uses MS Powerpoint to print Posters.
Media Services maintains and operates this printer, purchased with grants from the T3 program, through the College of Arts and Sciences.

Procedures

  • Create the POSTER using PowerPoint
    • Poster size no larger than 41"x 51"
    • Adjust the size of the poster to the paper, by going to Design/page set up/custom size
    • Arrange elements in the Poster to look good at 100% view
    • Maximum font size is 200pts. Any larger will be pixelated (ragged)
    • Choose a unique name for the posters, such as your name,
      NOT the name of the class, assignment, nor the word 'Poster'
    • Save as a .ppt (no other format)
    • Send to Media Services in an email (dtate@stetson.edu) for printing!
      or bring poster in on a USB or CD to Libr 09
    • We need a minimum of one day for printing
    • 51 inches MAXIMUM length         12 inches MINIMUM length
    • PowerPoint doesn't print to the edge (add a fudge factor)
    • Double check spelling esp. names, non-English words & scientific terms
    • You are solely responsible for content and layout
    • Extremely saturated backgrounds will be charged an ink fee.



Troubleshooting
