 The University community can print posters up to 42 inches by 52 inches, with a document size of no more than 41 inches by 51 inches. Posters can be printed in full color using matte paper. The Media Services maintains and operates this printer, purchased with grants from the T3 program, through the College of Arts and Sciences. This printer is a Hewlett Packard Designjet 800, capable of handling up to 42 inch paper, and prints near-photo quality images, using inkjet technology.

Basics:
HP Designjet 800c
- Up to 42 inch paper (we have 24 and 42 inch rolls)
- Accepts rolls or sheets
- Prints up to 1200 d.p.i., anything higher than 200 d.p.i is wasted
Procedures
- Create the document (no larger than 41"x 51")
- Adjust the size of the document to the paper
- Arrange elements in the document to make it look good
- Select the paper size (tells the printer when to stop)
- Print it!
Troubleshooting
- Allow margins of half an inch an every side
- Don´t make the document unnecessarily detailed
