  • Doug Lee, President, was featured in an Orlando Sentinel story (April 20) about the West Volusia Historical Society’s Cracker Dinner and his award as Historic Preservationist of the Year for 2008 – the first time the award has been given.

  • Stephen Robinson, Guitar, was featured in a Daytona Beach News-Journal (April 11) story about the Guitar Ensemble spring recital.
  • Gerri Bauer, Public Relations and Communications, was quoted and President Doug Lee was mentioned in a Daytona Beach News-Journal (April 10) story about Stetson’s green commitment.
  • Stephen Robinson, Guitar, was featured in a Mountain Times (Boone, N.C.) story (April 10) story about the Appalachian State University GuitarFest, in which he will be featured.
  • T. Wayne Bailey, Political Science, was quoted on Central Florida News 13 (April 7) about the likelihood that the Daytona Beach News-Journal will be sold in the wake of their unsuccessful lawsuit against Cox Enterprises against over the value of the newspaper.
  • Bob Boozer, Management, was quoted in a Daytona Beach News-Journal (April 6) story about dealing with office romances.
  • Michael Rickman, Piano; Stephen Robinson, Guitar; Anthony Hose, Orchestra; and Manuel de Murga, Composition, were featured in a DeLand-Deltona Beacon (April 3-6) column about a Stetson University Chamber Orchestra concert in which they participated.

  • Leena Taneja, Religious Studies, published a guest column (and was pictured) in the Daytona Beach News-Journal (April 5) about a Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life report showing a trend among Americans to change their childhood religious tradition for another one.
  • Carolyn Nicholson, Marketing, was quoted and Randall Hansen, Marketing, was mentioned in a Daytona Beach News-Journal (April 3) story about the recent revival of the student chapter of the American Marketing Association.
  • T. Wayne Bailey, Political Science, was quoted in a Daytona Beach News-Journal (April 3) story about the importance of student government at Stetson, recognizing its 100th anniversary, which was celebrated during Homecoming.
  • John Schorr, Sociology, was interviewed on Orlando Public Radio WMFE-FM 90.7 (April 2) about the differences in immigrants’ experiences, depending of where they come from.
  • Jennifer Shaver, Alumni Relations, was quoted and Michael Rickman, Piano; Stephen Robinson, Guitar; Anthony Hose, Orchestra; and Michael Fronk, Chaplain, were mentioned  in a DeLand-Deltona Beacon (March 31-April 2) story about Stetson Homecoming.
