Veterans Law Institute - Pro Bono Service Initiatives
The Veterans Law Institute helps currently deployed members of the U.S. military find free legal assistance for legal problems in the Tampa Bay area.
Legal Help for Active Duty Military
To qualify for help, you must:
- Be an actively deployed member of the U.S. armed forces and
- Have a civil legal issue in the Tampa Bay, Florida area (Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota)
The Veterans Law Institute can also offer referrals and resources for legal issues not in the Tampa Bay area.

Note: The Veterans Law Institute is unable to accept walk-ins. All applications for assistance must be made in writing. Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified whether the Veterans Law Institute can help you find a volunteer attorney.
