Stetson wins Robert Merhige Jr. National Environmental Negotiation Competition

The Stetson University College of Law Alternative Dispute Resolution team won the Robert Merhige Jr. National Environmental Negotiation Competition at the University of Richmond Law School in Virginia, March 21-23.
Stetson sent two teams of students. The Stetson team of Rachel Ellis and Charlyne Topiol beat 19 teams from across the country.

Stetson students win National Voir Dire Tournament

Stetson University College of Law’s trial team of Ashley Goodman, Khalil Madani and Victoria San Pedro won the National Voir Dire Tournament on April 5 in Kansas City, Mo. The team also won the professionalism award in the competition.
Goodman was named Best Advocate and San Pedro was named Best Chair in the competition.

Amelia Michele Joiner to serve as Stetson University Professor of Legal Skills and Trial Advocacy

Renowned trial team coach Amelia Michele Joiner has accepted the position of Associate Professor of Legal Skills and Trial Advocacy at Stetson University College of Law starting in July of 2014.

Stetson’s team wins National Veterans Moot Court Competition

Stetson University College of Law’s team won the National Veterans Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 17. The team also won the best petitioner’s brief award.

The winning team of Jeremy Bailie and Kevin Crews was coached by Associate Dean Michael Allen and alumnus Jason Stearns.

Louisiana State University Wins Stetson’s National Pretrial Competition

A team of students from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center won Stetson University College of Law’s Sixth Annual National Pretrial Competition on Oct. 13 in Gulfport, Fla.
Teams from 16 law schools around the country competed at Stetson for a chance to win the competition, coordinated annually by Stetson’s Center for Excellence in Advocacy.

Stetson University College of Law students Kayla Cash, Paul Crochet and Tyler Egbert won the 2013 E. Earle Zehmer National Workers’ Compensation Moot Court Competition on Aug. 19 in Orlando.

Students test their advocacy skills in Carlton Fields First-Year Appellate Advocacy Competition

Stetson Law students win international advocacy awards in Austria

Stetson University College of Law students Paul Crochet, Meagan Foley and Alexander Zesch all received Honorable Mention Best Oral Advocate Awards at the Willem C. Stetson students win AAJ Regional Mock Trial Championship

Stetson University College of Law students won the American Association for Justice Regional Mock Trial Championship on March 10 in Miami, Fla.
