2013 Educating Advocates: Teaching Advocacy Skills
May 22-24, 2013
Stetson University College of Law
Stetson's annual conference Educating Advocates: Teaching Advocacy Skills will take place May 22-24, 2013, on our beautiful campus in Gulfport, Fla. This year's theme is "Advocate, Teacher, and Scholar - Oh My!" Attendees will spend three days developing their teaching skills, learning new techniques, and networking with some of the most recognized names in advocacy teaching. Everyone will leave well-equipped to empower their students to become better advocates.
This year, we will continue our practice of inviting vendors to update you on the latest developments in advocacy-related products and teaching materials. They will be available to answer any questions, and a new vendor will demonstrate an exciting online video feedback program.
We are also excited to recognize Professor Susan G. Poehls of Loyola Law School as the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching Advocacy. We will present the award during a dinner on the first evening of the conference. Professor Poehls' many accomplishments as an advocate and instructor are legendary.
