Emergency Text Notification System

Stetson University College of Law has implemented an emergency text notification system for students, faculty and staff. In the event of an emergency, participants will receive a text message on their cell phone alerting them to the situation. Participation is voluntary. Instructions for student, faculty and staff are provided below. If you have any questions, please email text@law.stetson.edu.

Student Instructions

  • If you are a Stetson Law student and would like to enroll in the Stetson University College of Law Emergency Text Notification System, please text 'law student' (no quotes/case insensitive/space between) to the number 313131
  • You will receive an automated reply indicating that you have enrolled successfully, followed by instructions on how to opt out. (If you did not receive a reply within a few minutes, there was an error in the enrollment process.)
  • Your enrollment in the system will continue until you text 'stop law' (no quotes/case insensitive) to the same number, 313131
  • You will receive an automated reply indicating that you have terminated your enrollment successfully. (If you do not receive a reply within a few minutes, there was an error in the opt-out process.)

Faculty and Staff Instructions

  • If you are a Stetson Law faculty or staff and would like to enroll in the Stetson University College of Law Emergency Text Notification System, please text 'law staff' (no quotes/case insensitive/space between) to the number 313131
  • You will receive an automated reply indicating that you have enrolled successfully, followed by instructions on how to opt out. (If you did not receive a reply within a few minutes, there was an error in the enrollment process.)
  • Your enrollment in the system will continue until you text 'stop law' (no quotes/case insensitive) to the same number, 313131
  • You will receive an automated reply indicating that you have terminated your enrollment successfully. (If you do not receive a reply within a few minutes, there was an error in the opt-out process.)
