RSVP for LUNCH WORKSHOP – Overcoming Barriers to Beginning a Writing Project

Many writing teachers tout outlining as the key to starting any writing
project and the way to get over the fright of getting started on a new
writing project.  Indeed, there are empirical studies that support
outlining as a great “go-to” method for beginning a writing project, but
the outline certainly doesn’t have to be linear.  And it turns out that
some writers may find outlining to be more of a tool for procrastinating
than a tool to begin a writing project.  This session will attempt to
help you determine if you are a writer who can benefit from a type of
outlining at the beginning of a writing project or if you are someone who
needs to begin writing without an outline to avoid unnecessary
procrastination.
