Pro Bono Opportunity

The FLAFCC still needs to fill a few spots for student volunteers, particularly those with an interest in Family Law and Family Dynamics, who would be been willing to work at our annual conference. As you know, this year we are having our 13th annual conference which will be held at The Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando located at 1500 Sand Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32809 on Tuesday and Wednesday September 26 and September 27, 2016.

This year’s conference title is Serving Families in Transition: Educate, Inspire and Empower. This particular conference should be very interesting for your students interested in the Collaborative Law process which involves lawyers, mental health professionals and financial advisors.

Students will be required to assist with keeping time in Workshops and Plenary Sessions, distributing materials, assisting some participants with their education credits, and handling the myriad of other items that help the FLAFCC and the Office of Supreme Court Administration as organizers run a seamless conference.

In addition to making invaluable contacts with the lawyers, Judges, financial advisors and mental health professionals who are attending the conference, students who volunteer will also get the following benefits:

· Free Scholarship to attend the entire conference
· All meals and snacks that are provided to the attendees
· A free room at The Florida Hotel to share with another volunteer
· Introduction at the final plenary meeting to all of the professionals attending
· Free one year membership in the FLAFCC
