The Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit is represented by The Honorable Aramis D. Ayala and serves Orange and Osceola counties in Central Florida. A culturally diverse community, the area is home to nearly 1.4 million residents and is a vacation destination for millions each year. Our office is committed to making Orlando and the surrounding area a vibrant and safe place to live, work and play. Our Assistant State Attorneys, legal support teams, victim advocates and administration work diligently with various state and federal law enforcement agencies to prosecute those accused of committing crimes. We believe a successful prosecution involves cooperation from victims and witnesses. If you are a victim, we hope that you will visit our page outlining the Florida Crime Victim’s Bill of Rights. Our mission is to seek justice for everyone in Orange and Osceola counties. Seeking justice means aggressively charging and trying not only the easy or sure winners, but also those tough cases in which we have a good faith belief that the evidence establishes the guilt of the accused by legal and ethical standards. Seeking justice means giving victims of crime an opportunity to be heard. Seeking justice means fairly and equally applying the law to all. Seeking justice means always standing up for what is RIGHT, no matter how unpopular that may be. In cases where prison sentences are justified, we will seek them with courage and aggressiveness – never accepting lesser sanctions in order to raise so-called “conviction rates.” In carrying out our mission, we will always be courteous to others and act in a professional and ethical manner.
All applications for OCR are via Symplicity and the “OCR” tab. Employers participating in OCR can be viewed in the Spring 2017 OCR Participating Employer Guide (located in the Symplicity Document Library), which also provides detailed information on the application materials required by each employer. Step-by-step instructions for how to apply to OCR opportunities via Symplicity are available in the Spring 2017 OCR Instructions (located in the Symplicity Document Library). Applicants can apply, and modify applications, until the deadline, as no candidate materials are sent to an employer until after the close of the application period.
Stetson Law OCR Policy Affirmation. Every student participating in OCR must complete Stetson Law’s On Campus Recruiting Policy Agreement Form (found by clicking here) before their materials will be sent to the employer. Note that if you completed this for a prior application Session you do not need to do it again (i.e. it only needs to be done once).
