Hogan Lovells (1Ls for Summer Law Clerk positions in its office(s) in Miami, FL).  The employer has provided the following information:
The Miami Office of Hogan Lovells US LLP (“Hogan Lovells”) is offering a 2017 Summer Diversity Law Clerk position for interested first-year (“1L”) law students at accredited Florida law schools. The Summer Diversity Law Clerk position is the product of Hogan Lovells’ partnership with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”), an organization of more than 200 corporations and law firms whose mission is to promote inclusiveness by attracting, inspiring, and training talented, diverse attorneys so they can ascend to leadership positions within their organization.  For its 2017 Summer Diversity Law Clerk position, the Miami Office of Hogan Lovells is seeking diverse, 1L candidates who have an interest in obtaining practical experience in commercial litigation, international arbitration, corporate, and project finance, among other areas. Please note that although the selected law clerk will have the responsibilities of a summer law clerk, including performing legal research; drafting memoranda or corporate documents; and attending depositions, hearings, or team meetings, this position is independent and separate from the Hogan Lovells’ 2017 Summer Associate Program. Applicants are required to have at least a 3.3 GPA (or 82.5 if using a 100 point GPA scale).  The Miami Office Summer Diversity Law Clerk will be a paid position lasting a minimum of eight weeks, and the selected law clerk will also be able to attend the 1L LCLD Scholars Summit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 23-25, 2017. Only one law clerk position is available. The final law clerk will be selected on or before May 1, 2017.  Note – Application for this opportunity will continue through the close of Spring 2017 – Session F on February 22, 2017 and applicants may apply during any session (C, D, E, or F) while that session is open.

Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office (3Ls for Assistant Public Defender positions in its office(s) in Miami, FL). The employer has provided the following information:
The Public Defender is appointed by judges to represent clients in criminal, juvenile delinquency and mental health matters in Miami-Dade County courts. Our primary responsibility is to indigent clients facing the loss of their liberty. We have a nationally recognized training program designed to ensure we have competent, effective and ethical advocates for our clients.

Applicants can apply, and modify applications, until the deadline, as no candidate materials are sent to an employer until after the close of the application period.

Stetson Law OCR Policy AffirmationEvery student participating in OCR must complete Stetson Law’s On Campus Recruiting Policy Agreement Form (found by clicking here) before their materials will be sent to the employer.  Note that if you completed this for a prior application Session you do not need to do it again (i.e. it only needs to be done once).
