ExamSoft and Windows 10
We recently received the following announcement from ExamSoft, and wanted to share this important information:
“Microsoft recently announced that it will officially release its newest operating system, Windows 10, beginning July 29, 2015. They have announced that this will be a free upgrade for existing Windows users and that users can begin to reserve their update now.
At this time SofTest is not compatible with Windows 10 and we strongly urge you to not allow Exam Takers to update their devices until we officially announce support for Windows 10.
We expect to have more information for you as it gets closer to Microsoft’s official release to the public. In the coming days we will communicate with our SofTest Windows Exam Takers directly regarding this update.
Also, we (ExamSoft) have an updated list of Minimum System Requirements which will be effective August 2015 in preparation for the Fall semester. These have been posted to our (ExamSoft’s) Support Portal.”
We strongly encourage you to review the Minimum System Requirements, and to delay upgrading to Windows 10 if you plan on using SofTest for exams. We will send out additional information when compatibility is no longer an issue. Please feel free to contact ExamSoft directly at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or concerns.
