Please join the Student Leadership Development Committee for our last luncheon of the year!
Our April luncheon will feature a presentation by judge Lakin who was elected to Circuit Court and began serving on the bench on January 1, 2013. Prior to coming on the bench, Judge Lakin was active for many years in civil litigation involving property and Insurance matters, including re-insurance in London and other International markets. In addition, he has litigated numerous condominium cases and represented condominium associations throughout Florida. Judge Lakin has extensive experience in criminal defense work. He has represented clients charged with serious felonies in Florida and Massachusetts, including acting as lead counsel in over 50 civil and criminal jury trials. Judge Lakin is active in the ABA Judicial Division and the ABA International Law Europe Committee.
Lunch will be served to the first 100 program participants. Students who want to enjoy the meal must stay for the duration of the program. The food will not be allowed to leave the room with non-participants.
The program is designed to end in time for 1:00pm classes. In order to receive a credit towards the Leadership Certificate presented at Graduation, participants must stay for the entire program. Participants will receive one credit toward the Leadership Certificate for participating in the program.
