What:  A celebration of Constitution Day through poetry and creativity
Even if you aren’t able to attend, please send an e-mail to Professor Adams to request access to the Canvas page so that you can see the excellent “Constitutional Kimo” poems members of our community are already writing.

When:  Friday, September 17, 2021 from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Be sure to RSVP, as spots are limited!

Where:  The Mann Lounge

Who:  All students, faculty, and staff are warmly invited.  No prior experience with poetry is required!

Why:  Constitution Day is both an obligation for all schools receiving federal funds and an opportunity to engage with our community on a topic of central shared purpose.

Details:  During this event, you will be invited to select a provision of the United States Constitution that is meaningful to you and to write a very short poem called a kimo based on that provision.

If you would like to learn more, here is the prompt we will be using during the event and here is a sample response.

We will invite participants to share their responses toward the end of the event, should they wish to do so, and also to post their responses on the Canvas page linked below.
