Civil Rights and the Law Info Session
Students seeking more information about the Law and the Civil Rights Movement Course being held this summer should attend this information session on Wednesday, March 29th from 12pm-1pm in Classroom D .
This Summer course will consist of a 5 day classroom portion as well as a 5 day travel experience. This unique course is offered to directly expose students to the oral history tradition and learning settings which allow students to experience personal, first-hand accounts of the expectations and experiences of actual veterans of the civil rights movement and the relationship between the law and the direct action campaign for civil rights and social justice. This 5 credit course will be offered from June 1 – June 14. The classroom course and the travel course are tethered and cannot be taken separately.
