Biodiversity Lectures/Wetland Workshop on November 12


Stetson and the Environmental Law Institute are holding a special workshop on Tuesday, November 12, from noon to 5 pm in the Great Hall. The theme is “Legal and Scientific Responses to Koontz v. St. Johns River Water Management District and the Future of Wetland Mitigation.” Foreman Biodiversity Lectures will be given by Dr. William J. Mitsch, Eminent Scholar and Director of Everglades Wetland Research Park, Florida Gulf Coast University, and Edward A. Thomas, Esq., President, Natural Hazard Mitigation Association.

The lectures will be followed by panel discussions by  Palmer Hough of USEPA, Jessica Wilkinson of The Nature Conservancy, Jan Goldman-Carter of the National Wildlife Federation, Bruce Myers of ELI, Ann Redmond of Brown and Caldwell, and Dave Urban of Ecosystem Investment Partners. A pool-side reception will follow the workshop.
