PSY203: Great Experiments in Psychology

Are you interested in a greater understanding of human behavior? In this course we will explore the history of psychology by closely examining the research studies that have been most influential in shaping our concepts of mind and behavior. The enduring influence of these studies will be illuminated by discussions of recent investigations that have their roots in the original research. As we journey through the history of psychology, you will gain insight into psychology as a scientific field of inquiry and begin to think like a scientist. Psychology Majors only.
Your Professor
Dr. King is a biological psychologist. Her focus within the discipline of psychology is the study of how biological processes influence mind and behavior. Dr. King is devoted to both her teaching and research endeavors. She currently teaches a variety of courses including Introduction to Psychology, Great Experiments, Biological Psychology, and Drugs and Behavior. She has an active research program that has involved Stetson students for over 10 years. She is eager to engage students in her research so that they can gain a true appreciation and understanding of what it takes to be a research scientist. Her research students have gone on to graduate programs at Emory University, the Mayo Clinic, Florida State University, Michigan State University, among others.
