 HY200: Issues in Globalization

In this course we will examine a few global issues that face us today, especially changes in the natural environment, global environmental activism, social justice and issues of race and gender in a global society, and whether the idea of countries and nations can survive in a globalized society. We will also explore what it means to be “globalized”, and the controversies surrounding that concept. This seminar will be linked to an EH 121 course in global issues taught by Dr. Jamil Khader. Students will take these two courses linked, with shared assignments.
