The Center for First Year Studies
We are located at 145 E. Michigan Avenue, just NorthEast of the Lynn Business Center. Our facility houses the First Year Studies program which also encompases the Academic Resources Center and FOCUS orientation.

We are open during normal University office hours of 8:00am-4:30pm, and can be opened at alternate times for special needs.

Here at First Year Studies, we have an open-door policy. Students are invited to come by anytime to speak with the Dean, curl up on the couch in the study room, or jump on the computers in the lab. We encourage students to use our facility for study time as well as for group meetings.

The building has the following features:

Computer Lab with three PCs with standard University programs, and a Mac with Microsoft Office and the Adobe CS3 Suite.
Wireless Internet throughout the building and on the front porch.
Cable TV upstairs in the study room.
Conference Room downstairs ideal for small group meetings.
Study Room open to students anytime the building is open. This room is ideal for individual study or small group meetings.
