Barbara Brown Taylor
"God In Ordinary Time"
Barbara Brown Taylor teaches religion at Piedmont College in rural northeast Georgia and is an adjunct professor of spirituality at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur. She is the author of twelve books, including An Altar in the World, published by HarperOne in February 2009. Her first memoir, Leaving Church, met with widespread critical acclaim, winning a 2006 Author of the Year award from the Georgia Writers Association.

Wendell Berry
"How Shall We Live"

Winner of many honors and awards including the Lyndhurst Foundation prize (1997) and the John Hay Award of the Orion Society (1994), Wendell Berry also holds six honorary doctorates. A member of the Fellowship of Southern Writers, his most recent works include A World Lost and Another Turn of the Crank. Berry has taught at Stanford University, Georgetown College, New York University, the University of Cincinnati, Bucknell University and at his alma mater, the University of Kentucky.

John Dominic Crossan

"Paul: An Appealing or Appalling Apostle" 

Professor Emeritus Department of Religious Studies at DePaul University, Dr. Crossan is the author of eighteen books including Who Killed Jesus: Exposing the Roots of Anti-Semitism in the Gospel Story of the Death of Jesus (1995), and The Birth of Christianity (1998). Born in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland in 1934. He was educated in Ireland at Maynooth College, in Rome at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, and in Jerusalem at the Ecole Biblique.

Howard Stone

"Brief Pastoral Counseling"
Howard W. Stone was Professor of Pastoral Theology and Pastoral Counseling at Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University until he retired in 2005. Among his many influential books are Brief Pastoral Counseling, Crisis Counseling, and How to Think Theologically (with James O. Duke), all from Fortress Press.
