Technology Education - Veterans Benefits

The Stetson University MCSA/MCSE/MCITP/CCNA/Oracle programs are approved for veterans benefits by the State Approving Agency.
Veterans Refund Policy
The refund of the unused portion of tuition, fees, and other chargers for veterans or eligible persons who fail to enter a course or withdraw or discontinue prior to completion will be made for all amounts paid which exceed the approximate pro rata portion of the total charges that the length of the completed portion of the course bears to the total length of the course. The prorating will be determined on the ration of the number of days or hours of instruction completed by the student to the total number of instructional days or hours in the course.
Veterans Attendance Policy
Excused absences will be granted for extenuation circumstances only. Excused absences will be substantiated by entries in student files. Early departures, class cuts, tardiness, etc. for any portion of an hour will be counted as a full hour of absences. Participating veteran students whose unexcused courses absences exceed 10% of the length of the course will have their veterans benefits terminated. Benefits may be re-instated when the veteran counsels with an officer of the school to insure that any attendance difficulties have been resolved
Standards of Progress:
Academic Warning, Probation, and Suspension
Students are expected to maintain a passing average for in-class quizzes and practical exercises. Students who do not pass 75% of their in-class quizzes and practical exercises will be placed on Academic Warning. Academic Probation is issued to an MCSE student who has been on Academic Warning for four weeks and has not brought his or her passing average for in-class quizzes and practical exercises above 75%. Academic Suspension is issued to a student who has been on Academic probation for four weeks and has not brought his or her passing average for in-class quizzes and practical exercises above 75%. Academic suspension is for a minimum of 30 days. During this time students are encouraged to review and retest as required on the previously covered material. Passing a Microsoft exam on the material is also acceptable as remedial action. Students may re-enter the program when they have brought their quiz average back above 75% or have passed at least one one of the Microsoft certification examinations. Academic suspension will increase the duration of the course.
