PMP Exam Preparation Course
The PMP® Exam Prep Course helps candidates become fully ready to take and pass the exam. Participants will assess their readiness through the use of sample pre- and post-tests from a database of more than 1,200 questions available on CD with the course textbook which is fully compliant with the PMBOK® Guide. Participants review more difficult concepts, definitions, formulas, and topics to improve their understanding.
Note: Participants must register at least 14 days prior to the start date of the class.

Why get PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential?
PMI's PMP® credential is considered by many to be the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. It is globally recognized and demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to successfully lead and direct projects. In tough times, it may increase your marketability at a job or while looking for one. It may also lead to higher pay than your non-credentialed peers.
What are the requirements to sit for the PMP® exam?
In order to meet the exam requirements, you need to have one of the following:
- A four-year degree (bachelor's or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
OR
- A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
What if I don't meet the above requirements?
If you do not meet these PMP® requirements above, you may want to look at the Certified Associate in Project Management® (CAPM) certification.
The CAPM® certification is the entry-level certification designed for those with little or no project management experience but with a fundamental knowledge of effective project management practices and an understanding of its terminology. This is an especially good certification to have if you are new to the field of project management due to a career change and want to blend your current experience with it. The CAPM can send you in the right direction to achieve this goal.
Requirements to sit for the CAPM® exam are one of the following:
- A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) AND at least 1,500 hours experience
OR
- 23 hours of project management education by the time you sit for the exam. You can get these hours by taking the Stetson project management courses.
