Diane Altwies, MBA, PMP

media/Altwies.jpgDiane Altwies has a proven track record of delivering completed projects to the marketplace through effective leadership of multi-disciplinary teams with a strong customer focus. She has more than 21 years managing software development projects, and over 14 years experience in the insurance, financial services, mortgage lending, and healthcare industries. In 2000, she launched OuterCore Inc., an IT consulting firm, followed by OuterCore Professional Development LLC in 2001. Her training clients include Citigroup, Deloitte Consulting, Option One Mortgage, and Prescription Solutions. Altwies excels in evaluating business processes to determine and quantify the value-added and non-value added processes. She creates achievable plans to eliminate waste in operations taking into consideration the "total cost of delivery" to the customer. Her success can be attributed to her ability to bring together both internal and external resources, including a variety of off-shore and/or international development.

She has worked hand-in-hand with clients such as Option One Mortgage, Wellpoint of California, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, Paradigm Technologies, MedNet Connect, and HMOnline on similar consulting assignments. Her efforts in delivering rules-based applications have resulted in business improvements such as reducing underwriting time from 45 minutes to 2 minutes while increasing consistency and pricing accuracy.

Altwies has a master's degree in finance and marketing, and a bachelor's degree in MIS and production management, both from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She is an active member of her local PMI chapter and served as its marketing director.

Janice Y. Preston, MBA, CPA, PMP

media/Preston.jpgJanice Preston has been managing projects for more than 20 years in industries as diverse as real estate, financial services and the PC industry. Preston has been a principal with Vista Performance Group since 1991, consulting in project management for information services, health care, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and automotive. Some of her clients include Boeing, Countrywide, Nissan, Balboa Insurance, Allergan, Computer Sciences Corporation, Capital Group Companies, and Southern California Edison.

In 2002, Preston was the finance and risk manager for the Southern California Risk Management Symposium in Long Beach, Calif. Prior to starting her own company, Preston was the general manager of a ValCom Computer Center franchisee. While at Arthur Andersen & Co., she specialized in audits, manufacturing projects and cost accounting for clients such as Turtle Wax, Abbott Laboratories, Northwest Industries, Honeywell, and ITT.

Preston has an MBA with an emphasis in finance and accounting from the University of Missouri. Her B.A. is from the University of Central Florida. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and PMP. She is the program coordinator and an instructor in project management at the University of California Irvine and received the Dean's Outstanding Service Award.

She is a member of PMI and was the Region II director of the Risk Management SIG. She is a fellow of her local PMI chapter and has served as its vice president of professional development, vice president of finance, and trustee. She's also a member of the American Society for Training and Development, American Institute of CPAs, and her state CPA Society.

Dana Holmes-Jenkins, MCT, Project+ Professional

media/Holmes-Jenkins.jpgDana Holmes-Jenkins is the president of D & K Systems Consulting. The firm specializes in helping businesses increase their return on software investments. She has a bachelor's degree in business management and 20 years of corporate experience, which she draws on to match computer technology with business goals and objectives.

She is a Microsoft Office specialist, Microsoft certified master instructor, and CompTIA project+ certified professional. Before starting her company, Dana worked in the financial services industry and began her training career with ExecuTrain, a worldwide leader in IT training.

In the community, Holmes-Jenkins contributes time and talent to a number of non-profit, professional and educational organizations including I CAN Community Education Coalition, Computer Mentors Group, SMPS Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay BPW, and FMSDC.

She is a graduate of Hampton University. Her hobbies include ballroom dancing and strategic board games. She and her husband Kevin of 23 years reside in Tampa, Fla.

Linda Iovinelli, PMP

media/Iovinelli-photo.jpgLinda Iovinelli is a PMP certified project manager with more than 20 years of IT project management experience through the full project lifecycle from project planning through customer acceptance. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Union College, in Schenectady, N.Y.

Iovinelli is currently a vice president and project manager at JP Morgan Chase, where she manages multiple infrastructure and application development projects for the Treasury Services department. Prior to going to JP Morgan Chase, Iovinelli worked in the professional services groups at Computer Associates, Oracle and Storage Technology. She managed projects for numerous clients in the areas of financial services, healthcare, human resources and telecommunications. She is an experienced trainer in the areas of project management, IT technologies and numerous technical areas.

She received her PMP certification in 1999 and is active in the PMI Tampa Bay chapter. She teaches the PMP prep class modules for the chapter and is on the Tampa Bay Symposium committee. She also is certified to teach IT Project Management and Risk Management at the University of South Florida and Stetson University in Orlando.

Mitchell Johnson, PMP

media/Mitch_Johnson.jpgMitch Johnson has solid credentials and experience in project management. More importantly, he brings the unique Caribbean island humor of his childhood in Antigua to his classroom and his work. As a senior project engineer for AVP-SPL, Mitch installs large complex AV systems for a diverse clientele of government, nonprofit, and commercial organizations. He manages to maintain his cool and deliver projects under extreme limiting conditions. While teaching Project Risk Management, he pioneered MJ's Risk Management Playlist, which encourages students to find popular music that expresses their attitudes about risk. "Livin' on a Prayer" is a perennial favorite.

Prior to joining AVP-SPL, Johnson spent eight years as a project manager and senior systems analyst with IKON Office Solutions and worked in a wide range of industries. He is a member of PMI Tampa Bay Chapter. Mitch earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee and holds multiple technical certifications including Microsoft certified systems engineer and IBM certified solutions engineer for content manager.

Traci McIntosh

media/McIntosh.jpgTraci McIntosh is an accomplished, results-driven program director with more than 15 years experience leading and contributing to significant initiatives for Fortune 500 organizations, including Harcourt Education and Walt Disney World. She's an exemplary leader, who can manage change, mitigate risk, infuse new ideas and deliver solid business results to take enterprise system performance and productivity to the next level. McIntosh has extensive experience assembling and managing global, cross-functional teams for information technology projects and programs as well as customer experience, supply chain, and enterprise sales implementation projects and programs.

McIntosh earned her bachelor's degree in computer information systems from York College of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition to having earned her PMP, she also earned her Six-Sigma White Belt. She is the vice president of programs for the PMI Central Florida Chapter.

Deanie Powers

media/Deanie.jpgDeanie Powers has more than 25 years of experience managing both in-house and remote project managers and IT technical teams. Her experience includes managing multi-cultural work forces, recruiting, evaluating and documenting performance, coaching, project management, identifying risk, developing contingency plans, meeting delivery dates, and teaching project management courses. Powers led cross-organizational project teams, and developed and deployed project management and quality processes.

Throughout her career, Powers has consistently led teams in progressively higher capacities to ensure software development and new releases across a variety of IT areas were brought in on time and within budget. Powers began her work in project management at AT&T where she supervised technical teams, project managers and contract negotiators, managing groups that developed, tested, and maintained numerous software systems for the finance, marketing, network, engineering, and billing departments. She received a recognition award for developing and deploying a complicated software project within a very tight timeframe.

Her career includes work with Telcordia Technologies and, while there, she managed the systems test team responsible for the test functions of fault tolerance, system alarms, software and hardware live upgrades, and system stability for a state-of-the-art production grade VOIP (Voice Over IP) software replacement for a Class 5 switch built on an HP, UNIX, C++, Java, Oracle and Clustra platform. She worked in a CMM Level 5 environment with Telcordia. She also has experience managing teams utilizing mainframe, Teradata, HP, Sun, UNIX, Powerbuilder, Java, C, C++, COBOL, Assembler, CICS, DB2, IMS/DC, Oracle and Clustra.

Powers received a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science at the University of Kansas and a master's degree in certificate project management at George Washington University. She also earned a certificate in CMM training at the Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University.

Lisa A. Reitz, MBA, PMP

media/Lisa_Reitz.jpgLisa Reitz has over 25 years experience in the information technology field, from computer operations, programming, and business analysis to project management and executive management. Her current executive role with Geographic Solutions as client services manager includes the management of the project management team, the training and content team, and the multimedia team.

Prior to joining Geographic Solutions, Reitz held various project management and consulting positions with companies in banking, finance, health services, utilities, robotics, and software engineering. One of her notable positions was as an IT project manager in Silicon Valley, Calif.

She has a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.

John F. Sage, PMP

John Sage has more than 30 years of project management experience within information technology. He has been a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 1997 and achieved a PMP certification in 2004 and an OPM3 certified consultant in 2009. He was a project team member of PMI's OPM3 (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model) next version (2008) project. In 2009, John was invited to PMI headquarters in Pennsylvania to participate in the first OPM3 consultant certification training and testing.

He earned a degree in computer science and accounting from St. Petersburg College. He received a master's certificate in project management from George Washington University in 2000 and an advanced master's certificate in project management from George Washington University in May 2005. He is president of SAGE PM Inc.

John Sanderson, PgMP®, PMP®, SCPM®

media/Sanderson.jpgJohn Sanderson is an accomplished program management professional who has led several positive impact projects and programs in more than 25 years of professional experience. He has a consistent record of elevating organizational productivity and efficiency through skillful development, implementation and management of project management processes, policies and procedures. Sanderson holds both the program management professional (PgMP) and PMP certifications. He is considered a subject matter expert in project, program and portfolio management. He is a senior program manager for research in the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. During his more than 20 year career, he has worked for Philips Electronics, Modis, Accenture, CA and Fiserv. His client list includes ABB, Ericssen, Barnes Group, Ryder Systems, GMAC Mortgage, Citi Financial, JP Morgan Chase, and HealthNow.

Sanderson earned his bachelor's degree in management at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., and his MBA in management at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. In addition to earning his PgMP and PMP certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI), he has earned a Stanford certified project manager (SCPM) certification from the Stanford Advanced Project Management Program, and a certificate in project management practices from Villanova University, and has completed the introduction to capability maturity model integrated (CMMI) from the Software Engineering Institute.

Jeff Walters, PMP®, MBA

media/Walters.jpgJeff Walters is currently the president of the Project Management Institute of Tampa Bay, and a senior project manager at Raymond James. He has also spent more than 11 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in a variety of project management-related roles, where has been responsible for many large and complex projects. Walters started his career by managing an industry leading training company that annually provided professional and business education to thousands of Florida architects, engineers and general contractors. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from Rutgers University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
