A Message from the Director
Choosing a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
program can be a daunting task, one complicated by the myriad options and
offerings available. Prospective students must consider the size, prestige and
the location of the school, the cost of the program, the prerequisites for
admission and the scheduling and flexibility of the course offerings. While
there is no one program that is best for everyone, I would suggest you look
long and hard at the alternatives, paying specific attention to the following:
·
Accreditation – Most MBA Programs are accredited but not all
accrediting agencies require the same standards of excellence in their
accrediting process.
·
Faculty – This is a business degree. The
best faculty would be those that offer a combination of academic background
and practical, “real-world” business background.
·
Class size – The larger the class, the less direct contact and
interaction students have with the faculty and each other.
·
Location – Given the amount of time that must be spent in
obtaining an MBA degree, the process should not be complicated by spending
long hours getting to and from the campus where the classes are held.
Stetson University offers an Executive Masters in
Business Administration (EMBA) program at its center in Celebration, Florida.
Accreditation by the AACSB International - The Association to Advance
Collegiate Schools of Business of our undergraduate and graduate business and
accounting programs places us among a select group of institutions nationally.
The university is one of fewer than 200 schools worldwide to have achieved
such status. This program, while conferring a traditional MBA degree from one
of Florida’s highest ranked schools, is specifically designed for individuals
with proven managerial experience who are destined for executive-level
positions in industry, government, professional occupations and academia. Our
program accepts practical and successful accomplishments in lieu of what are
termed "foundation" courses required by other MBA programs. We stress
interactive learning and embrace the concept that the experience of the
collective group or cohort is one of the most important aspects of the process.
I invite you to learn about our EMBA Program, its
curriculum, its faculty, our students and our admission requirements. We want
students who fully appreciate what our program offers.
We offer information sessions and one-on-one counseling in an
effort to provide interested candidates with all information necessary to help
them make an informed decision. Please review
the material provided within our website, and, if it interests you, let’s talk.
