Expected Costs

Visits to the SHS clinic and most professional services are free. Costs of medications, laboratory tests and the fee based Well Women’s Clinic are charged to the student's account.  SHS does not process insurance. If the student has medical or prescription insurance, every effort will be made to send proof of insurance coverage along with any prescription or laboratory test ordered. Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to make staff aware that he/she has insurance.  Payment to referred specialists and X-rays are the responsibility of the student.

All students are expected to have some form of accident and health insurance. Those students who do not have such coverage may purchase insurance designed for Stetson students.

Information regarding this insurance may be obtained at the following web site.
