The Program & Faculty
The Executive Passport program consists of junior and senior level business courses taught by full-time, permanent, Ph.D. level Stetson faculty. These are the same faculty who teach our traditional undergraduate students at our DeLand campus. The set of courses offered runs the entire gamut of relevant business topics so much in demand by employers today. Courses include Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting and Business Technology. Each course is selected and custom designed to provide value for our students in their current work environment and in their future work environment.
Costs
The cost per credit hour is $500 which translates to $1500 per course. Because this degree program results in the same Stetson degree that our DeLand campus business students receive, students in this program are eligible for financial aid from a variety of different agencies. We have worked with our Financial Aid office to streamline the financial aid application process and to minimize the administrative hassles.
The costs for the Executive Passport program for the 2006-2007 academic year (fall and spring semesters) are:
Tuition ($500/credit) $13,500
Books and Supplies 1,000
Total $14,500
The total for tuition is based on 4 classes for the fall semester (12 credits) and 5 classes for the spring semester (15 credits). At the current time, we are estimating the FRAG amount. We will probably not receive the official amount of the FRAG for 2006-2007 until late spring. If you are a junior (transfer in at least 60 credits), you could borrow $5,500 for the year on the Stafford Loan (either subsidized or unsubsidized). If you are determined to be independent on the FAFSA, you could borrow an additional $5,000 unsubsidized Stafford Loan for the year.
Financial Aid Application Process
1) Submit a Stetson University Financial Aid Application to the Financial Aid Office. This form may be accessed from the Forms page on this website. If you are a Florida resident, please complete the Certification of Florida Residency section of the Financial Assistance Information Form, formerly know as the Florida Resident Access Grant (FRAG) application.
2) Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available on the federal web site (FAFSA), as soon as possible. Before beginning your FAFSA, you should register for a PIN (Personal Identification Number). You may do this at the same website. The PIN will serve as your electronic signature on the FAFSA. This will allow the FAFSA process to be completely paperless. Students who do not utilize a PIN will have to print a signature page and mail it to the federal processor. This may cause a delay of the receipt of your FAFSA results. Be sure to list Stetson University, code 001531, as a recipient of your information. Allow 4 weeks for processing.
3) To prevent delays in processing your financial aid, please respond promptly to requests from the Office of Financial Aid to provide any additional information. For example, we may require a copy of your most recent federal tax return. (Note: Please do not submit a copy of your federal tax return unless requested to do so.)
