Program Eligibility

The Project Management program is open to all levels of education. However, if seeking graduate credit, you must have at least a Bachelor's degree in any area and submit and register through a formal Admissions process. Please contact us for more details.

Preparation for Examination

While preparing for real-world project management and earning graduate credit, you will also fulfill the educational requirement to take the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) and PMP (Project Management Professional) exam.

PMP Exam Prerequisites

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education

OR

  • Four-year degree
  • 4,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education

CAPM Exam Prerequisites

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 1,500 hours of project experience

OR

  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam

*This course meets the CAPM requirements in full.

Program Outcomes

You will receive the following upon completion of the Project Management program at Stetson University:

  • Certificate of Completion from Stetson University
  • 7.2 CEUs
  • Official Stetson University transcript
  • Educational hours (35) required to take the CAPM or PMP exam
