Stetson MAcc - Admission Requirements
What are the Admission Requirements for the MAcc Program?
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting from an accredited university. The program must include the following business foundation courses:
- Macro-economics
- Micro-economics
- Statistics
- Financial and Managerial Accounting Principles
- Principles of Management
- Principles of Marketing
- Business Finance
In addition, the following accounting foundation classes are required:
- Intermediate Accounting I and II
- Advanced Financial Accounting
- Accounting Information Systems
- Managerial/Cost Accounting
- Individual Income Tax
- Two of the following: Auditing, Tax, Advanced Accounting
Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA and a GMAT of at least 520. However, meeting these minimums does not guarantee admission. Other factors are also considered, such as work experience, extracurricular activities, strength of personal/professional recommndations, etc. Enrollment is limited and the best applicants will be selected for admission.
