Tracie A. Ward

Tracie A. Ward is the President of Southeastern Surfaces & Equipment in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  SSE furnishes, installs and services athletic equipment, sports flooring, telescopic seating, and operable partitions throughout the Southeast United States.  The headquarters is in New Smyrna Beach, but SSE also has satellite offices in Orlando, Jupiter, and Atlanta.  SSE was started by Tracie's mother, Sonya Eggerton, in 1994. 

Tracie graduated from Stetson with a MBA in 1993.  She began her career as a CPA for KPMG Public Accountants.  After three years at KPMG in the audit practice she left and became a corporate controller for Marriott Vacation Club in Orlando.  She was responsible for the construction accounting for all of the Orlando properties, as well as the financial reporting of MVC to Marriott International. 

Tracie began working at SSE in 1998.  At that time, the company was doing business only in Florida and was still considered a start-up company.  Through the years, the company has grown, acquired additional product lines, territory and expanded into new markets and services.  Tracie became President of SSE in 2006.

When not at work, Tracie spends time with her husband Michael, and her three daughters – Erin, Nicole and Kate.  She is on the Board of the Central Florida Zoo and enjoys assisting the Zoo in their fund raising events and educational programs.
