Shahram Amiri

Associate Professor of Information Systems

Dr. Amiri is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Institute for the Study of Digital Inclusion (ISDI); www.digitalinclusion.net a (501c3) Nonprofit Organization. The ISDI research includes the impact of effective uses of information and telecommunication technology on economic development, life long learning, E-government and E-governance in under served communities and developing countries.

Dr Amiri served as Vice president and Chief Information Officer of four Institutions of Higher Education in the United States during the last twenty five years, and currently is serving in faculty capacity with Salzburg Seminars in Salzburg Austria http://www.salzburgseminar.org and has a tenured appointment at Lynn School of Business and Administration at Stetson University in Florida.

Professor Amiri is an accomplished Community Informatics researcher and practitioner, has served in a consultant capacity to many public, private and civic organizations in the last decade, including the design and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, and related services for the Walt Disney Company, during the construction of the City in Celebration, Florida.
