MedEx

Stetson has a student-run organization called MedEx (short for medical experience) which provides our pre-health students with medically-related volunteer experiences. These experiences include:

• volunteering at the local hospital
• conducting blood pressure clinics at a local retirement center
• visiting the pediatric ward of a hospital during holidays
• spending a weekend as a counselor at a camp for ill or handicapped children and their families

Also, during the summers of 2007 and 2009, several MedEx members assisted a medical mission in Honduras! (2007 group shown in photo below).

MedEx meetingsgenerally alternate with AMSA meetingsevery other week during each semester. Look for signs around Sage Hall for meeting announcements.
