Dr. Anne Hallum

PROFESSOR ANNE M. HALLUM, who has taught at Stetson since 1987, is Chairperson of the Department of Political Science. She received her Bachelor of Science (Statistics) Degree from the University of Minnesota; her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Alabama; and her doctorate in Political Science from Vanderbilt University.

She teaches courses in American Government; The American Presidency; and Environmental Politics, among others. She is the author of Beyond Missionaries: Toward An Understanding of the Protestant Movement in Central America, as well as a dozen book chapters and journal articles in the area of religion & politics.

She is also the Founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of The Alliance for International Reforestation, Inc. which is an environmental organization working in over 40 villages in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Professor Hallum frequently takes student interns to work with AIR projects.
