International Food Festival 2005

International Student Advising is a division of the Center for International Education designed to assist international students and scholars on the Stetson University campus with their unique needs and concerns that may arise during their transition to Stetson University and DeLand, including immigration and general support services. Stetson's International Student Adviser also works closely with international students before and after their arrival to help them navigate immigration procedures, and works closely with Stetson's International Student Organization in sponsoring cultural activities of interest to the campus. In advising international students of their rights and responsibilities under United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and U.S. Information Agency/State Department rules and regulations, C.I.E. serves as a liaison between international students and various governmental and non-governmental agencies to help them maintain their legal immigration status while in the U.S.

C.I.E. conducts an intensive two-day orientation program for international students. Stetson's International Student Orientation usually takes place in the two days preceding the campus-wide FOCUS Orientation. It is essential that all international students attend this helpful Orientation Program designed especially with their needs and concerns in mind. C.I.E. also holds a number of social and educational events throughout the year to help international students integrate into theStetson community.
