To Be in Honors...or Not To Be in Honors

Honors is right for you if…

You might like mixing your physics with your literature, your art with your politics, your biology with your sociology, and your psychology with your music.
You prefer discussion classes to lecture classes.
You can tolerate open-ended questions, with no definite answers.
You're willing to exercise your own initiative rather than depending always on explicit instructions from teachers.
You like (or are willing) to do a lot of reading and writing.
You might like to define your own major.
You like being in classes with students similar to you in interests and ability.
You like having a close relationship with professors.
You like the idea of living in Honors Housing.

Honors is probably not right for you if:

You are a "just the facts" type of person and don't like to explore questions without definite answers.
You are uncomfortable with reading and writing assignments.
You prefer to avoid issues of controversy and active debate.
You don't like mixing your physics with your literature, your art with your politics, your biology with your sociology, or your psychology with your music.
You plan to complete your college degree in two years or less.
